Honoring Apostle Ric
Apostle Ric Steele began his ministry journey in 1988, serving in music ministry with the bass guitar. In 1989, he married Prophetess Kathleen Steele, and together they pursued a vision to see the gifts of the Spirit fully active in the body of Christ.
In 1995, they launched a Bible study focused on prophetic training, which led to the founding of Due Season Church in 1997—from their own living room. The ministry quickly grew, moving to a facility near the Detroit River in 1998, and later relocating to Oakland County in 2002.
Apostle Ric’s passion for spiritual education led to the founding of RISEN! Bible School (2007) and LITES Youth (2010). A prolific author, he published Doors & Chambers, 7 Pillars, The Law of Exchange, Words of Jesus, and more, along with numerous prophetic training manuals.
In 2013, Due Season South was launched, followed by the cash-purchased North Campus building in 2016. He released Pastor Payton and Minister Janiris to lead the North Campus in 2017, and Pastors Jovan and Sierra to lead the South Campus in 2022.
Apostle Ric Steele leaves behind a powerful legacy of faith, prophetic insight, and kingdom-building. He is survived by his wife, Prophetess Kathleen, their children Payton, Sierra, Ada, Jovan, Janiris, and Nate, and grandchildren Roman, Lucas, Raelynn, Mateo, Judah, Marcos, and Elianna. His life continues to inspire generations to come.
